Sawmill Rd. is just past the 9 mile maker on Sheridan Lake Rd. about 10 minutes from Rapid City, SD and about 25 minutes from the Rapid City airport. At Sawmill Rd. you will see a flag pole and a bank of mail boxes along as well as construction and signs for a new housing development. Keep going down the road (onto the gravel road) past the turn on the right and follow the road up into the trees. Our place is the maroon colored house on the right with the small motor home in the driveway and all the flags. The house number is on the right side of the garage doors.

* Note: mapquest has us in the middle of Sawmill but we are at the end of the road a little past were the pavement ends and the gravel begins.

If you are coming from RAP (Rapid City Regional Airport) you will exit the airport on to Hwy 44 towards Rapid City, Before you get to 79 there is an exit on the left for 16 South to Hot Springs.

(If you miss this exit just keep going until you get to 79, take a left, go till you get to the DMV exit, then turn right, this will take you to Catron Blvd. then continue as below.)

You will pass through the intersection and light at 16 keep going down the hill on Catron to the next light and take a left onto Sheridan Lake Rd. Go past the 9 mile marker and turn right (there is no left) at Sawmill Rd. (see above).

While you are in the area be sure to visit the many other tourist attractions in the area such as Mt. Rushmore, Bear Country, Reptile Gardens, Story Book Island and many more.
